Indian Ministry of External Affairs spokesman Randhir Jaiswal confirmed the arrival on X, noting that Rodriguez will hold direct talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "The visit will further deepen India–Venezuela ties and build on the momentum in the bilateral partnership," Jaiswal wrote.
According to the ministry, discussions between Rodriguez and Modi would span the "full spectrum of India–Venezuela relations and explore avenues for further cooperation in areas of energy security, trade and investment, and renewable energy."
A Venezuelan delegation accompanying Rodriguez is also scheduled to tour facilities across India's energy, pharmaceuticals, and automotive sectors, with the aim of gaining "insights into India's technological and industrial capabilities and to explore opportunities for collaboration," the ministry said.
